what is the turn-around time?
We aim to deliver edited content within 24 hours upon receiving your photo or video order. This timeframe can vary. For infographics, the expected delivery time is within 48 hours.

Most of our customers book their first shoot within 4 weeks of their first call. Most shoots are scheduled within 3 to 5 business days of your products arriving in our facilities.
Does styling include props?
All stylists have access to 100+ different standard props available in our studios. Any props outside our prop list can be shipped to our studio. For any fresh ingredients and florals you need, you can book our grocery shopping service when you plan your shoot.
Does soona offer both product photography and video content?
Yes! In addition to product photography, soona offers short-form product videos and UGC designed for ecommerce, paid ads, and social media. You can add video services to any shoot.
I’m not sure what to book! can soona recommend a booking?
We offer 2 types of shoots: Packs and build your own bookings.
Select “build your own” to choose each detail of your shoot and pay a la carte.
Not sure what you'd like? Select a pack! These shoots are discounted and created with ecommerce and social media best practices in mind.

How long is my package valid for?
Enterprise packages and preferred credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified in a contract.
What is product photography?
Product photography is the process of capturing high-quality images of products to showcase them for marketing, ecommerce, or advertising. Great product photos help customers understand, trust, and buy your products online.

do I get to choose my date and time for my shoot?
After you complete your booking, you will fill out your general availability. Once we receive your products in studio, our scheduling team will pick a date and time that works best for your availability and to give you the best experience possible based on your shoot goals. You will receive an automated email with your shoot date and time.
Have a conflict with the time ou received? Please let us know asap and we will do our best to get you rescheduled for a time that works better. In the event that you need to reschedule, we require 2 business days notice.
Why is professional product photography important for ecommerce?

where are my photos?
Your photos live in your gallery! Scroll down on your account until you see the “gallery tab”.
I am outside of the US - do I still get a free shipping label?
The free shipping label is only available for shipments within the United States.
I’m not shipping a product because it’s already at your studio - how do I proceed?
Visit the details tab of your booking and scroll down to “ship your products” + “shipping options”. Then select “use stored products” and add the products you’d like us to capture on that booking. This will notify us that your products are already in studio. Once all packages have been added, select "I'm done shipping".
I shipped my product! where do I add tracking?
Visit the details tab of your booking and scroll down to “ship your products”. Select "shipping options" + "add a tracking number". This lets us know your product is on the way. Once all packages have been added, select "I'm done shipping".
will we have a call to plan before the shoot?
All shoots start with a kickoff call with your creative crew. You will be able to go over the creative details, shot list and the goals for your shoot at this time. If you would like to have a designated point of contact prior to your shoot scheduled time, you can add the Producer pro service to your booking. Learn more about this additonal service here.
what's the difference between headshots for all and a regular headshot booking?
Headshots for all shoots are free and last 15 minutes. If you want to have multiple wardrobe options or pick your own backdrop color, book a regular headshot booking with us to customize your shoot.
rescheduling + cancellations + refunds
Rescheduling: You may reschedule your shoot one time by emailing hey@soona.co no later than 2 business days before your booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate a better time.
Cancelations: Your booking is good for a full year from the date of purchase. Your booking deposit is non-refundable. If you'd like to cancel your booking: you will forfeit your deposit. Please reach out to hey@soona.co to cancel your booking. You can review our full terms here.
Refunds: soona does not provide refunds. If you are not thrilled with your content, we will make it right! Please reach out at hey@soona.co and we’ll work together to create content you love.
can I pick a different background color?
You have two color options! Gray or baby blue. You can view all of our backdrops here. If you want a color other than gray or baby blue, book a regular headshot booking.
can I bring a friend or team or pet for a group shot?
Headshots for all is about YOU! If you'd like to bring a friend or pet, create a regular headshot booking and we’ll have fun with everyone.
how many headshots can I get?
You will receive one free headshot! You can buy additional photos for $39 each.
what is non-furniture assembly?
non-furniture assembly is the service we require when your non-furniture product ships in multiple pieces and needs to be put together to a complete stage so it's shoot ready.
can a stylist swatch my product?
yes! stylists can create texture swatches of your beauty or art products on acrylic surfaces or models (requires a model pro service).
can a stylist source special props or groceries for my shoot?
soona offers FREE props in-studio for your shoots that you can view here. Not seeing the props you want? Ship us your own!
If you're looking for fresh food, beverages or ingredients for your shoot, our stylists can source the items at local stores with our grocery shopping service for $149 + cost of goods.
are stylists creative directors?
Stylists help elevate and evolve an existing brand and shoot concept - they will efficiently recreate the shot list and shoot goals you provide. Our stylists follow your creative direction to setup scenes and capture your vision. Stylists do not define your brand's creative vision or manage your creative project. You must provide a shot list and shoot goals before your shoot for our stylists to review and follow.

can I talk to my stylist before a shoot?
you can communicate live with stylists during the shoot on the kickoff call and live chat. please provide clear shot lists and shoot goals before your shoot so your stylist can review and execute your expectations.

what is a soona stylist?
a soona stylist brings your vision to life by serving as an extra pair of skilled hands and creative eyes during your shoot. they efficiently execute your shot list as quickly as possible resulting in eye-grabbing imagery that truly allows your product to shine and meets your brand goals.
how do I know I need a stylist?
stylists are essential for shoots with complex shot lists and stylized inspiration images. the photographer focuses on capturing high-quality images. the stylist artfully sets up scenes and adjusts your product and props to achieve your vision.
soona requires styling for the following shoot types:
- 5+ items styled in a single shot
- swatches to highlight texture or color
- food or ingredients styled with your product
- Pinned and adjusted clothing/accessories and apparel flat lays
- bedroom scenes + other decorated lifestyle setups
- to recreate the style of a shot you saw somewhere else

are there other pets besides cats and dogs available?
On occasion we have other pet types beyond cats and dogs available. The other pet types available can vary. We recommend using filters during model selection to find our “other” pet types.
do I need to join my shoot if I book a model?
Yes! We highly encourage attendance for all soona shoots, but especially encourage attendance for shoots with models or other pro-services. This is to ensure you can give live feedback to the model(s) and we can capture your content just the way you need it. We will continue shooting if you are not in attendance!
what if I need a specific breed or size pet?
Log in to browse and book directly with pet models in any city from book.soona.co/directory. Filter by pet type, weight, and other measurements in order to find the perfect pet for your brand. Or, after your booking is made, you'll go through model selection which will surface the active pet models in the city your booking is assigned to.
